Who is the NHSBCA?
The National High School Basketball Coaches Association is an organization that unites high school basketball coaches. It is an alliance among State Basketball Coaches Associations that represents over 75,000 coaches nationwide.
Our Mission
The mission of the National High School Basketball Coaches Association is to: Develop a unified national high school association that will promote and enhance the profession of the high school basketball coach.
About the Team
Founder and Executive Director, Dave Archer, has been leading the charge for the NHSBCA for over 40 years. With personal roots in the sport as a successful high school and college basketball coach for 25 years, Dave created the NHSBCA to bring much needed advocacy and support to coaches. He started the Educate to Navigate initiative in 2025 because youth sports have reached a boiling point, and this initiative will bring awareness and supply resources to help remedy the damage.

GOALS FOR THE TAKE BACK THE GAME INITIATIVE:

The goal of this initiative is to help basketball players, their parents, their coaches, and other interested parties navigate the current challenges in youth basketball system.

We will do this by educating relevant parties about the landscape of grass roots basketball in the United States, including offering detailed information about the recruiting process at American colleges and universities.

Our intended result is to elevate the standing of scholastic basketball coaches and to reinforce the value of playing scholastic sports.
