SPORTSMANSHIP
WHAT OUR KIDS ARE MISSING
What is one of the most valuable skills you learn from being on a team? Sportsmanship. And not just in the traditional sense. Good sportsmanship is the ability to maintain a good attitude even in the face of disappointment, the social skills to work well with a team, the strength to keep your composure when you feel you're being treated unfairly. Good sportsmanship sets up young players with incredible life skills that serve them well into adulthood. Sportsmanship is one of many integral aspects of youth basketball that is threatened by the commodification of youth sports.
